B.C. Fence

We know. The big day is almost here for many of us. We did want to give you some tips for decorating your holiday fence regardless. You still have time to employ them this year but if not, you can incorporate your fence in holiday decorating next year and it will have a wow factor. Let’s get down to it, shall we?

Holiday decorating on a fence can be simple or complicated. It’s up to you and what look you’re going for. The fence is basically a blank canvas that you can create a display on. One great – and traditional – way to decorate your fence for the holidays is to string up lights around it. They’ll add great sparkle to your yard.

If you go for lights in your holiday decorating of the fence, we suggest that you choose small lights and avoid nailing down the wires. This could damage your fence. You should also keep your lights on for a set period of time that’s not too long so as not to risk a fire hazard.

You can also use garland in your holiday decorating of the fence. Garland comes in many shapes and colors. Wrap it around the pickets or fence posts to incorporate holiday cheer.  Bright bows on each post will catch the eye of guests and passers by.  Bows and wreaths are actually great ways to decorate your fence without incorporating nails or screws and will keep your fence intact.

You can also combine the two. You can get garland that’s pre-lit or wrapped with mini-lights and use both options for decorating your fence.

Whatever you do with your fence for the holidays is up to you. Remember, a festive fence helps make a festive yard. The only real limits are your imagination. Holiday decorating should be a joyous thing so have fun and enjoy what you’re doing.
